Pretty Patchwork, French Concession

Chinese people don’t really do patchwork so much, so this lady really stood out from the crowd with this great shirt:

I like its happy, light, and slightly quirky disposition, and it made the woman seem very approachable and warm, especially given the fact that she was buying some beautiful flowers from a street vendor.

The only other time I can think of seeing ‘patchwork’ clothing is when I saw this incredibly innovative homeless guy in what looked like a coat he stitched together himself. I like both of these peoples’ styles, and I hope a few more Chinese people will start to embrace these patterns and textures.
