In this period, the bigger the hair the better… The Qi Pao also became much slimmer, and it is this period that most people agree was China’s most “fashionable” after mixing with the French, British, and Americans (amongst other groups) for quite some time. They maintained mostly their own aesthetic, but whatever was Western was perceived as modern. Do you think the West mixed well with the East in this case?
